The evening before the children made their trip, they all sat around and discussed the two day plan to scale the top of Mt. At the start of the meeting each child explained what he or she found out in their research about the area and mountain climbing in general. They discussed plans for food, camping and how they would handle emergencies. The climbing was difficult but not totally technical, just enough of a challenge to push the children to the edge.
