Life in the land of the rising sun. Sunday, September 11, 2005. The driving school I go to is packed with state-of-the-art equipment. You reserve and cancel lessons with a passcard and a computer. You can also do so over the Internet. Heck, even the pop machine is state of the art, allowing you to buy drinks with your cell phone! There were three of us in the room that day, and we all got a quick briefing, followed by a warm-up session on the simulator to get used to the controls.
