Where Are The African Americans? Two Days in Morocco. It is currently July 7, 2010; Two days before I leave for Morocco. As an African American, traveling to Africa validates the notion that everyone has a place of belonging in this world. It does not matter what part of Africa I visit. The entire continent symbolizes the origin of everything. On a positive note, I have had extensive historical preparation two weeks prior to my Moroccan trip, and I feel ground.
