Lara added sound clips to her presentation for students with a visual disability. Her book was about animal therapy for students with autism, so we got to hear a couple animal sounds and guess what they were. She also printed out an example of braille, so we could physically feel what students with visual disabilities feel as they are reading something.
Three ways that you and two others made content accessible. I made content accessible to students by providing a detailed list of what was covered in the Powerpoint. Also I used bright colors and pictures to grab the attention of the child and to keep them focused. I liked Taras use of review questions to tie her information together and to check for understanding.
Lastly, I thought that the Educator checklist helped guide my project. It was easier to include more in my project than I thought, but at the same time, it was overwhelming because of the many options. It definitely allowed me to explore new options and make sure UDL principles were covered and provided benefits for all. Click on this link to hear the objectives of UDL lesson.
