Precies op het moment dat hij haar neerlegde in het bedje, opende ze haar ogen. Met haar slaperige kastanjebruine ogen keek ze mij aan, strekte haar handje, ze raakte mijn wang aan en gaf mij de mooiste glimlach ooit cadeau.

Occasional thoughts about almost anything by oldgreyheron. For the other two this was a trip down memory lane, especially for Dick as he lived on the Headland and is a Heugher as those from the environment are known! The Headland is rich with history, and even on this, one of many visits, I learned more about its past. So let me start with an image which surprised me.
