My work covers a wide range of problems in equilibrium and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. Applications of statistical mechanics to complex systems in biology. Condensation of protein molecules-kinetic pathways to crystallization and disease. Further details are given on my Research.

I am an astronomer and assistant professor at the Department of Physics. My research involves the discovery of extrasolar planets; planets that orbit stars other than our sun. The main focus of my research is the KELT project - a pair of small, wide-field telescopes that we are using to search for transiting planets around bright stars. See my research page for more information. I received my PhD from the Department of Astronomy. At The Ohio State University.

Physics Dept, Center for Optical Technologies. The research of our group focuses on nonlinear optical effects in glasses and fibers, and their use for optical communications and sensing. The goal of our research program is to relate these nonlinear optical effects to the microscopic properties of the material, here glasses, and understand the mechanisms by which they arise.
