Wednesday, December 19, 2012. The next two photos both show how a long shutter speed can be used to ones advantage. In the first I used a long shutter speed to capture some fireworks. Colors are compensated for by tinkering in Photoshop to color correct the image. The final photo demonstrated composition, a fast shutter speed and a high ISO. In a dimly lit room with fast moving action I need a fast aperture to compensate for the fast shutter speed.
Sunday, December 16, 2012. FInal photo project Hockey Game. I slowed down the shutter speed. I wanted to see what would happen. I really like the way this came out. Rule of thirds again? Rule of thirds and leading lines. My daughter at the game. She found a puck and was allowed to keep it. I like her expression here. Again I used rule of thirds and blurred out the background.
