The Rain Transforms The Atacama Desert Into A Flower Field. In Chile, the El Niño weather phenomenon has brought necessary rain to turn the Atacama Desert in flower field. Composed of nearly 200 endemic species, this unique carpet should be able to persist until the end of the year. In Chile, intense precipitation has transformed the Atacama. The equivalent of seven years of precipitation in just noon. There are also some other amazing Atacama desert facts.

Why Would You Ever Go to India? I find this is the most common question I get asked when people find out about my travels, and will add that it is only for India specifically. That I get asked this question. And yet, when India is mentioned, I get a particularly vocal exclamation of surprise mixed with sprinkles of genuine confusion and intrigue.
