Monday, September 7, 2009. My overall impression of the jazz gallery was that it was really interesting. I liked how you were able to listen to the artists on the ipod. And i liked reading Tupac. The connection between jazz and democracy is that jazz musicians have freedom of expression. Like Democracy, they can say what they want and not get in trouble for it. Jazz for its soul and controversial lyrics. Opera for its amazing sound and composure.

Saturday, August 29, 2009. Mindset of my first week at CSUMB. During my first week at CSUMB. There were times when i had a fixed mindset and times when i had a growth mindset. I thought that even though i planned to work really hard on doing well in math, i would always be horrible at it. I have always struggled with mathematics. Usually do my own laundry or wash the dishes.

Monday, September 7, 2009. I have done multitasking a couple of times, but for me its very difficult. I have a hard time focusing on two things at once. If I had a choice, I would prefer focusing on one thing at a time. I have tried to adapt to multitasking, but its never worked that well for me. When I read the article on multitasking, I thought it was really interesting. Being interrupted by something else.

Monday, August 31, 2009. Carmel student home with swine flu. An elementary school student was ordered to stay at home after he was told that he had the swine flu. The schools Superintendent Marvin Biasotti. Was told of this situation on Tuesday. Night The boys sickness was confirmed as the first swine flu case in the district. Officials sent a message over the phone to the parents of the child. Know about this, and when i read about it, it gave some helpful tips on proper hygiene.
