First day as a resident intern. That is the day that all new residents start their intern year, fresh off of medical school graduation. It is a terrifying day. It is nice feeling like the nurses are on your side and you are a team, instead of just a nuisance. It is also suuuuper nice to be able to write orders finally, although the learning curve for that with the computer system and dosages still seems like a mountain.
