The Seagull on the Shores of Ireland. In the recent production of The Seagull. At the Culture Project, which was a Thomas Kilroy adaptation of the original Chekhov play with the same name, the characters are moved from their original Russia to Ireland. Their names are changed, as is their location, but this love story gone awry follows the same basic storyline. Regrettably, this adaptation lost some of the qualities that theatre goers have come to love in a Chekhov play.
