I am a plankton ecologist and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Institute of Chemistry and Biology of the Marine Environment at the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg. In my research I focus on the impact of climate change on marine pelagic food webs. Ecological communities are complex and dynamic networks of species interactions. Predicting the higher-order impacts of perturbations on community structure and dynamics is the overarching goal of my research.

I am a post-doctoral scientist, interested in plant-animal interactions and how they influence ecosystems. In mid 2008, I started my first postdoc position at the University of Jena. Due to my function as scientific coordinator I have the chance to conduct parts of my reserach in the framework of that great biodiversity experiment.
