I recall drifts of snow hip-deep, the land submerged, white-cold, the familiar swallowed up and made exotic again. The art of Meadows seems rarer than it used to be. That visionary consciousness that a deep knowing of a place can bring is precious, a thing to be stalked, cultivated and coa.
