In Romeo and Juliet, darkness and light are different than what they seem. Darkness is not always bad because when Romeo describes Juliet as the sun that shines through the night, this turns the night into the daytime. The light is not always good because when Romeo and Juliet had their first night together, immediatly in the morning, they had to seperate as if they were bound by the darkness outside.
