Overall I really enjoyed writing blogs, for the above reasons, but also for the fact that I found that having my work published on the internet, and others reading it gave me more motivation to find topics which interested me the most. The Bystander effect is social deficit in which a person is less likely to help a person in need, if there is a larger group around, saving themselves from distress. There are many famous cases which the bystander effect has led to disastrous events, which may have resulted in the death of a person. Diffusion of responsibility applies in these situations as a person believes that if there is a larger group, their responsibility to help is lowered.
