Tuesday, October 22, 2013. This week we have been learning about pumpkins and their life cycle. Today, we observed a pumpkin. I had the students make observations before gutting the pumpkin. Sunday, October 20, 2013. This week in class, we will be covering the topic of Diversity. I am aware that this is a large topic to cover and keeping students engaged in it is a challenge. I will be presenting a power point to the kids and I have included some wonderful activities to show them how they are all different in some ways, and how they are all alike in some ways! Since we will be working closely with literature and our Daily 5 in our first few weeks of school.
