Sydney and Archie have asked for their pictures to be put on the blog so that they can show their parents. When I first saw the Giant Swing up close I was worried but when I got strapped in and got pulled higher it was alright.

Miss Holbrook, Mrs Robak and Miss Jenkins. Yesterday, Year 2 explorers and their proud families attended a graduation ceremony. After weeks of hard work including creating maps, using geographical vocabulary, writing a letter and designing and making vehicles, their efforts were finally rewarded. Our graduates were very proud of their achievements and we would like to thank everyone who attended. ZOO LAB visits Year 2! ZOO LAB visits Year 2! .

Year 2 trip to QMC. On Thursday 8th January 2015, Year 2 went to QMC to study plants. We went on a trail outside to explore how plants survive in winter. We dissected a bud to see the different layers that make it up and protect it from the weather. We saw how evergreen leaves are thick and waxy to help them survive the winter. We examined seeds under the microscope. We planted our own seeds in soil ready to grow in the spring.
