This paper propose a novel end-to-end sequence-to-sequence model to generate captions for videos. They use LSTMS which have demonstrated stateof-the-art performance in image caption generation. The main idea to handle variable-length input and output is to first encode the input sequence of frames, one at a time, representing the video using a latent vector representation, and then decode from that representation to a sentence, one word at a time.
