I want to read and review more than 50 books this year. Please forgive the super short reviews. Volume One The Border Trilogy, by Cormac McCarthy. I found this to be another exceptional McCarthy book, the dude can really write! Anytime I read a western, I am skeptical that I will be engaged by the book. Burmese Days, by George Orwell.

The folks at Crumbolst love you. This little 112 page out-of-print gem contains enough specific information for us to begin tapping our maples and make our own maple syrup. Getting to the point of having actual maple syrup is a process dependent on good luck with the weather and a great deal of labor once the sap is collected. But we are going for it! Wow, what a great no.
