December 23, 2014 marked the 79th birthday of our founder Rev. Bailey was ordained for the ministry at a small Puritan church in Marshall, TX on April 10, 1959. Bailey and his wife then moved to Farmers Branch where Rev. Bailey worked for Parrish Industries and preached at his home on Sundays.

Thursday, April 23, 2015. In 1892, Puritan missionary Thomas Jacoby was sent by the Plymouth Presbytery to Omaha, Nebraska to found a congregation. In that year not only had a congregation been founded but also a seminary to educate Puritan ministers. Long time political personality Tom Dennison donated a plot of land at 39th Street and Dodge Street for the seminary. In November 1894, Bethany Puritan Seminary opened for its first class. Original seminary at 3902 Dodge Street.
